Gifted and Talented
Gifted and Talented (GT) classes are offered at Wasatch for grades 6th- 8th grade. If your student is doing really well in school and is looking to be challenged more in any of these subjects: Science, English, Math, Social Studies, please have them take the GT test. Each student who is interested in the GT program must take the GT test provided by the district to see if they qualify.
At Wasatch we offer:
Students only get to take the GT test once. If your student has already taken the GT test in 5th or 6th grade with Granite School District, your student is ineligible to take the test again.
At Wasatch we offer:
- GT English
- GT Science
- GT Social Studies

*If your student is attending a Granite School District school, the GT test will be administered at their school. Please look for more details on when and where from your current school.
*If your student is NOT attending a Granite School District school, they will need to register with the district for a specific time.

GT test results are sent to the school you indicated your child is attending next year. Results typically get sent to the schools at the very end of the school year. Schools will notify parents and students if they qualify or don't qualify for the GT program via email. Look for those letters in May.
